Welcome to 7th Grade English Language Arts

My name is Delayne Gibson, I am a TIA Designated Master Teacher, and this will be my sixth year teaching 7th grade ELAR here at Jacksonville Middle School. Reading is truly one of my biggest passions and I am so incredibly excited to get to share that with your child! My goal as a teacher is to teach the content necessary for success, while also letting my students know that they are cared for and helping them realize their true potential in this world. So, please know that you have someone here rooting for your child in more aspects than one.

We are going to learn a lot this year, have a ton of fun, and grow not only as learners, but as people. I am so blessed to be a part of your child's journey and I can't wait for an incredible school year.
