About Me:
I am starting my 6th year as a band director in Jacksonville. I am the director of the Symphonic Band at the middle school, and I also teach the beginner flute and saxophone classes at Nichols Intermediate and assist with the high school band. Prior to teaching at Jacksonville, I served for 11 years as the Assistant Middle School Band Director in Athens.
I received my Bachelors Degree in Music Education from Stephen F. Austin State University in December 2004. While at SFA, I was a member of the Lumberjack Marching Band, and I participated in several other organizations that served the band and music department. GO JACKS!!!
My main instrument is the flute, and I also have some background in percussion and bassoon. I currently play flute in the orchestra at Central Baptist Church here in Jacksonville.
