Hello and Welcome to my page!
My name is Elizabeth Morgan and I am excited to be a new member of the Jacksonville Middle School family. I graduated from the University of Texas at Tyler in May of 2018 where I earned a Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies with a concentration in 4th through 8th Science. This will be my first-year teaching and I am overjoyed to begin my teaching career as a fighting Indian on the JMS campus.
I hope that my students leave my classroom with an understanding of Science, as well as a goal in which they can utilize their knowledge to improve our society. Through implementing real-world scenarios into my classroom, I hope that students realize that they can apply science to analyze the world outside of the classroom and develop methods of improving their community through their knowledge. Within my classroom, students will not only develop their analytical thinking skills, but their communication skills as well. My goal is that each student will be able to effectively communicate Scientific ideas with their peers, and future colleagues as they enter the workforce.
At Jacksonville Middle School, we are a No Excuse University campus. We believe that every student has the right to be prepared to attend college. It is our responsibility as teachers and admin to create a exceptional system for our students in order for them to reach these future goals. For our classroom we will be representing Florida State University located in Tallahassee, FL (GO Noles!).
I am excited to begin working with your student in class, and I am looking forward to the 2018-2019 school year here at Jacksonville Middle School.
