Jacksonville Middle School Choir

 

Hello, I’m Erin Blankenship and I’m the Jacksonville Middle School Choir Director.  I am a graduate of Mesquite High School, Eastfield Community College (Associates Degree), and Stephen F. Austin State University (Bachelor of Music Degree).  Axe ‘Em Jacks!!  This is my 21st year to teach – all of them in Jacksonville ISD.

 

I have been married to my husband, Gehrig, for 19 years.  He's the head band director for Rusk ISD.  We have three children:  Matthew (15), Ian (12), and Maddie Grace (8).

The Veteran's Day Program is next Friday.  Please see the graphic for what to wear.  More details coming soon.  Parents are invited.  The program begins at 9:00 am.

Below you will find the All Region Choir rehearsal tracks.  I encourage you to download these onto your phone, tablet, computer, or whatever electronic device you like to listen to music on.  You do not have to have a dropbox account to download.  
 
Please rehearse with the accompaniment tracks!  The vocal tracks are there for reference only and should be used sparingly - the vocal quality is not the best.  That is NOT Mrs. Blankenship singing.  ;)

Welcome JMS Choir students to the 2017-2018 school year!  I'm so excited for what this year has in store.  Right now we're prepping for All Region auditions on October 14th.
