My name is Alice Ray and this is my eighteenth year in education. I received my Associate’s Degree from Tyler Junior College before going to the University of Texas at Tyler where I received my Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies with a concentration in Reading and my Master of Educational Leadership. I am certified to teach grades 1st-8th. I also have my ESL (English Second Language) certificate.

I began my career in education at Lindale ISD as a Special Education Paraprofessional before heading to Winona ISD, where I taught 2nd and 3rd grade for five years. Jacksonville ISD welcomed me into their family by allowing me to teach at West Side Elementary for seven years. During that time I taught 2nd and 4th grade before joining the East Side team as the Instructional Strategist for four years. Due to my love of teaching, I felt that I needed to return to the classroom and I am very excited to be a part of the JMS team for three years.
This year I am very excited to be one of the cheer sponsors for our 7th and 8th grade cheerleaders!  Go Braves!!

I am very proud to call JISD my home, where we do whatever it takes to ensure learning for all and I am looking forward to many more years to come!
My NEU University is the University of Alaska at Anchorage!  Go Seawolves!
